Calendar: 06/10/05

Sean heard our clock alarm go off this morning and decided to get up when I did at 6:30. It was nice to see him and get a hug from him. I think Ian would have preferred another hour of sleep.

The first thing Sean wanted to do was put a sticker on the calendar to mark the day. Last night he had decided a purple butterfly sticker would be just the thing for today. Today I got to watch him carefully peel the sticker off the sheet, line it up in the box on the calendar, stick it down and then smooth the wrinkles with his palm. As I watched I felt this strange bubbling of maternal pride at seeing him accomplish this morning ritual that he and Ian have developed. I wonder which sticker he'll pick for tomorrow?
