Comments for Harriet MilestonesHarriet Milestones: 03/23/07It's been a while since I've done a Harriet update so here we go. Harriet is almost seven months old. She loves to babble, doing things with her hands (and feet), petting Caligula, and eating solids. While she can crawl and sit without support, she can't do either consistently or at will. Those are the two things she needs to work on most. She can, however, stand just fine if I put her on her feet and give her something to hold on to (like the edge of my chair). In fact, standing is one of her favorite pass times and has been for months but it's only in the last week that she's been able to hold herself up when standing. As we're such a talkative family (Sean and Ian especially), Harriet knows she has to talk to get the attention she wants. She has already started to use a few words. Her vocabulary consists of: dada, mama, sean (really more like 'on' as she only has two teeth), where, that, no, nap and num-num (her word for eating). She and Sean get along beautifully. She loves it when Sean makes barn animal noises for her. Harriet plays along and can meow like a cat and trumpet like an elephant. The kids also like to play with stacking cups together. We have one complete set and three other sets that are missing pieces here and there. harriet | sean | milestones |
