Comments for More MilestonesMore Milestones: 03/25/07Two days ago I wrote how Harriet hadn't figured out sitting on her own yet. Today after a day at the park, Harriet has figured out sitting! She also now has three teeth and is only days away from having four. While Ian was getting his hair cut, Sean, Harriet and I spent an hour and half at the Dublin city park across the street from the main library branch. Sean spent most of the time climbing and jumping off of things (one time jumping down more than seven feet). Harriet and I walked and played together. She practiced standing (with me holding her hands) and even took a few wobbly steps (again with holding her and keeping her balanced). I guess the practice with walking sparked something that helped her figure out sitting. She's now sitting like she's always known how to do it. Harriet now also has three teeth and from the amount of chewing and drooling, number four will pop in a day or two. With her new tooth, she's getting more interested in eating table foods. She can pick up small pieces with a racking grasp and while she tries to put it in her mouth she often just plays with it. |
