Guide to GuysDave Barry's Complete Guide to Guys: 09/27/07

Although I've never heard of Dave Barry, I have ended up with two copies of this book. In the spirit of BookCrossing, I wanted to read it before I released it.

So I came to this short, silly book without expectations. It's a quick romp through history and societal norms as seen through the eyes of a typical "guy." This book is not another men vs. women book. Barry defines his guys as a subset of humanity. They are usually male although women with certain levels of immaturity would qualify too.

This "complete guide" made for the perfect read on a day when both my children were sick with colds. They both needed lots of attention and snuggling and I needed something to do while I was being a big pillow. This book can be read over the course of an afternoon.

I love your blog. It is very artsy. I can't get enough of your pictures. And i hope your kids get better soon. I have 4 of my own and I know how sick kids can put everything on hold. But at least you get to cuddle with them 'cause you are probably sick too! "

You'd never heard of Dave Barry?! He was one of the things I liked best when I subscribed to the newspaper at home. I'll have to put this one on my to-look-for list. "
