Mommy Hugs: 03/20/08
Mommy Hugs is one of the books we brought at Powell's during our five day road trip. It's a board book of typical length (16 pages). The book by Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben is a series of mother and child interactions. There are of course the elephants shown on the cover, a swan and cygnet, a tiger and cub and so forth. Harriet likes the different animals, especially the tiger page. She meows whenever we read that page together. I like that the book teaches the proper names of the animals in their adult and infant forms. Mommy Hugs is a nice "celebration of a mother's love" as the back of the book promises. Happy reading!"
