What Are You Reading: October 04, 2010: 10/04/10It's Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list. Most of my finished books were picture books. Two of them were review books: Just Breeze by Beverly Stowe McClure and The Quest for Merlin's Map by W. C. Peever. On top of what I finished reading I have a ton of research books going too. Finished Last Week:

Comment #4: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 20:55:03 Pussreboots This week is shaping up to be another busy one. Comment #5: Monday, October, 4, 2010 at 10:38:26 Happy Reading! And I am not reading anything. Massive slump! Comment #6: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 20:56:03 Pussreboots I had a slump that lasted for most of a year. I only read 20 books that year. I got over it and you will get over yours when the time is right. Comment #7: Monday, October, 4, 2010 at 15:41:19 I really enjoyed The Red Pyramid. Have a great week. My It's Monday is here Comment #8: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 20:57:54 Pussreboots I am enjoying it too. I just need to make more time to finish it. Comment #9: Monday, October, 4, 2010 at 17:46:28 Amanda Hi Puss, You've got quite a loot there! Makes my paltry one book read last very sad (although I am managing the research sections of two offices at the moment and I'm currently away from home... so my sleeping is crap and I'm feeling a bit bleh!). Comment #10: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 20:58:47 Pussreboots Most of the books were picture books. Your one book probably has more pages than all those picture books combined. Besides sounds like you're under the weather and under a lot of stress. I wouldn't get a lot read either under those circumstances. Hope this week is better for you. Comment #11: Monday, October, 4, 2010 at 20:29:12 Wow, you've been busy! Comment #12: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 20:59:02 Pussreboots Yes. Very very very busy. Comment #13: Monday, October, 4, 2010 at 23:10:08 Aths You did read a lot! Even if they were mainly picture books! Have a great week! Comment #14: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 21:00:31 Pussreboots I find picture books to be very relaxing after a full day of reading for research. Comment #15: Tuesday, October, 5, 2010 at 02:01:55 I just finished Susan Cooper's "The Dark is Rising." It was very rich, a wonderfully-written, lush fantasy novel. I'm reading "Earth: a Very Short Introduction" and a book about startups by Guy Kawasaki. Comment #16: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 21:01:20 Pussreboots I've read Over Sea, Under Stone, The Dark is Rising and The Grey King. That leaves the two middle books to read. I have them, just need to read them. Comment #17: Tuesday, October, 5, 2010 at 20:40:52 Thanks for stopping by yesterday! I'm finally making the rounds! I'd love to hear how you're enjoying Anne of Green Gables. I actually have that book but have not read it. I'm not even sure why I have it on my bookshelf! I've tried a few classics this year and have considered reading it so I'll check back to see if you put up a review! Comment #18: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 21:02:04 Pussreboots I'm re-reading Anne of Green Gables. I think it's my fifth re-read of it. Crack open your copy and give it a try. Happy reading. Comment #19: Tuesday, October, 5, 2010 at 22:39:24 You're always reading so much at once! How do you manage to keep track of each book? Have a great week! :) Comment #20: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 21:03:23 Pussreboots Do you watch more than one television series in a season? It's just the same but with books. Comment #21: Wednesday, October, 6, 2010 at 13:27:42 Looks like you had a good week. I love Anne of Green Gables and reread it recently too. Happy reading! Comment #22: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 21:04:32 Pussreboots Thanks. I think it's my fifth re-read of Anne of Green Gables. Comment #23: Wednesday, October, 6, 2010 at 18:12:48 Oh, I'm dying to read Always Looking Up! His first memoir was excellent. I also live with a chronic illness, so I find his optimism very inspiring. Enjoy your books this week! Sue Comment #24: Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 21:05:18 Pussreboots Always Looking Up focuses on what he's done with his life since the diagnosis. It talks about how it affected his work, how he's become an activitist for medical research and how it has changed his family. |
