May in Review: 05/31/11

I read eleven fewer books in May as in April. I finished the same number of review books. As with previous months, the majority of my books came from my local library.

My projects were all over by the start of the month so all the picture books that I read were with my children. Now that my daughter can read with confidence she's not climbing into my lap as often for story time. Manga is filling the empty space created by reading fewer picture books.

I continue to be obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist but I'm getting near the end of the series. That mean's I'm reading the currently popular issues and competing with my fellow patrons for a chance to read them! I did however still manage to read five volumes. I even got reviews posted for Volumes One and Two.

My ROOB score remains at last month's score of -2.15.

You have some interesting sounding books listed. I am currently watching Fullmetal Alchemist: brotherhood. Think we are on episode 5. Anyway, things are already different that the other FMA anime. Did you watch Brotherhood? I have read that Brotherhood follows the manga books more closely. Regardless, i am finding it interesting. Once FMA manga comes out with omnibus books then we will start reading the series. They are rather scarce in the library system.

Pussreboots

I've watched Brotherhood all the way up to Part 3. I am waiting for Netflix to make Part 3 available. The manga and Brotherhood are somewhat different though not as drastically as the original anime and the manga are.
