Lunch Lady and the Summer Camp Shakedown: 10/21/12
Lunch Lady and the Summer Camp Shakedown by Jarrett J. Krosoczka is the fourth book in the Lunch Lady series. Dee, Hector and Terrence are spending their summer at camp. And so is the Lunch Lady and her faithful assistant. Good thing too, because there's a swamp monster terrorizing the camp! This mystery reads like a classic Scooby Doo. There's a monster to catch, clues to find and of course the Lunch Lady's gadgets. By book four, the characters have settled down and everyone has a role to play. That puts the emphasis instead on the story. The artwork continues the strong use of yellow (with some green thrown in for the swamp monster). There are strong lines and easy to read lettering.
