The Nine Lives of Jacob Tibbs: 12/31/16
The Nine Lives of Jacob Tibbs by Cylin Busby is about a ginger and white kitten who learns how to be a ships' cat. Jacob was actually born aboard ship but is traded to another one when the captain's daughter convinces him to let her have a cat. The story's similar in tone to Milo and Otis, but aboard ship. In that regard, it's perhaps a bit like the the Little Bo series by Julie Andrews Edwards. It's a cute story, good for kids who like cats and like adventures. It's not exactly original but it's entertaining. Three stars Comments (0) |
