Monday was back to school for my kids. It's been a week of getting into the school routine, but from a new place. We're learning how to work our old morning routine into the apartment.

Enjoy your new camera. Its funny hearing people taking about going back to school; my daughter has finished her third week.

Summer didn't start for them until the middle of June. I bet your kids were out at the end of May.

Congrats on the new cam! That looks really cool. I fared mostly without presents this birthday cause I didn't know what I want to get :D And those look like some interesting books :) have a fun reading week!

I like the PEN series of cameras. They're lightweight and small but still have the flexibility of larger cameras. It was my only birthday gift and completely unexpected. My birthday is bookended by the birthdays of my children, so usually the budget for gifts goes to them.

What a lovely birthday gift. Enjoy your reading this week.

Thanks! Once it cools down here I plan to start up my hiking again. That's when I'll really get to try out the camera.

Nice looking camera. I'm glad you are getting back into a routine. All your books are new to me this week. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

This week's books are mostly a mixture of road trip books recommended to me by The Indextrious Reader blog and audiobook mystery series I've been following.

Happy birthday! That camera looks like a wonderful gift.

Enjoy your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.

It's a wonderful and unexpected gift. His reasoning was that he knew I would enjoy it and he was dismayed to watch me spend so much time trying to geotag my photos after the thought. The new camera can tether to my phone and use it's location data which will be a huge bonus when I'm in unfamiliar places.

Happy birthday and congrats on the camera! Looks nice. Do you do a lot of photography?

Short looks interesting, and I'm Thinking of Ending things has an interesting cover. Wondering about that one...

Photography is my other main hobby after this book blog. You can see my photos on Flickr and Instagram.

Short is cute. I listened to the audiobook. It's about a short girl coming to love herself during a summer production of The Wizard of Oz. I'm Thinking of Ending Things is a Canadian road trip thriller. It reminds me of the moodier of Stephen King's books.

I hope you have fun enjoying your new camera - I've heard good things about the Olympus Pen.

Happy reading!

It's my third PEN camera (I have a 1 and a 6). I still need to learn how to use it by feel because Olympus always moves things around a little but the quality of the photos I've gotten have been wonderful.

Thank you. I love it. It's lightweight and small enough to fit into my purse but advanced enough to take different lenses. It can tether to my phone to use it's location data. The photos so far have been clear and gorgeous.

I wish I would find the time to read a few cozies.

ENJOY your week.

Most of the cozies I've read this year have been audiobooks. I listen to them while I'm doing chores.

I absolutely loved I'm Thinking of Ending Things. It's such a dark, creepy mind f**k! I'll be interested to hear what you think of it.

I'm enjoying I'm Thinking of Ending Things but it reminds me of a short story I read in Fantasy and Science Fiction magazine a few years ago. I'm still trying to remember the title of that story.

I've been meaning to read the first Spencer Quinn book Dog On It for a long time! I also have I'm Thinking of Ending Things on my TBR. Happy birthday and enjoy the new camera!

Bow Wow isn't part of the Dog On It series. It's the third book in the Birdie and Bowser series of middle grade mysteries.
