How exciting to at least get the keys to the new house. Hmm wonder what has been nominated for the Cybils — I need to go look.

The nomination process just began. Public nominations go until the 15th. Then authors and publishers get a chance. By the end of the month the nominations will be finalized. Then we have all of November and half of December to read and discuss and make the short lists.

Congratulations on the house - good that you can make the changes before you move in! Have a good week.

Thanks. It's hopefully my last really busy week — at least in terms of this move.

Congrats on the house! I've read mixed things about Dorothy Must Die -- maybe I'll get to it one of these days.

It's been sitting on my shelf since it was brand new. My husband read it a few weeks ago and loved it and went and bought the next three in the series. He's talked it up so much that I have to read it now or he'll spoil everything.

My brother and I are edging ever closer to getting our house sold. I can't wait until the process is finished. I enjoyed Bad Housekeeping and hope you do too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

I'm on chapter three of Bad Housekeeping. I've enjoyed what I've read so far but I suspect this book will be a slow read for me just because of my reading commitments with the CYBILs.

It was exciting and sometimes nerve-wracking. We plan to move this weekend. We'll move our kitchen stuff and our furniture, and the cats. We'll hold onto the apartment for a month to give us time to get the rest of the non-essentials and to clean up the place.

My husband really liked Dorothy Must Die because it builds off the original books so much. He wants me to read it so we can discuss it.

Congrats on the new house! How exciting. I tried Lumberjanes but I've only read the first one, so far.

Archie vs Predator? THAT sounds interesting! :)

I love the LumberJanes series both for my days at Girl Scout camp and now as a co-troop leader. You should read Archie vs Predator — it's certainly memorable.

Yay- Congrats on the new house! There is always work to be done to move in... and then on going work when you live there. It comes with the territory. :-)

I like several of your read books - cute covers.

Hope this is a good week for you. Happy Reading!

The house sat empty for about a decade. Thankfully local relatives were able to keep it in good maintenance but it still shows some signs of its age. It's been fascinating learning the history of the house and the neighborhood both from the paperwork we were given and from friends who know the area better than we do.

Yay for getting your keys! Now the fun part of making the house yours can begin. :) I've been curious about Mrs. Saint.

Mrs. Saint and the Defectives was delightful.

Now we have a month to get our stuff out of the apartment. Thankfully we didn't take all of our stuff there.
