It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (October 23): 10/23/17

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (August 31)
Hosted by Kathryn of Book Date.

We've not made the progress I was hoping to have made this weekend with moving out of the apartment. My husband is taking tomorrow off so it will be him and me schlepping for the six hours that our kids are in school.

Girl Scouts: Leader and Daughter event.

Today we were also busy with the Leader / Daughter Girl Scout Event. It was two and half hours of crafts, hiking, games, and eating. Before the hike we each made a hiking stick.

My pride stick.

Lovely hiking stick! Ah so plenty of exercise between that and the house moving. I found while we were doing our house clearing that I covered 10000 steps in one day!

Thanks. My phone mangled the colors. I'll take a better photo with my camera next time I use the stick.

I'm busy doing so many other things this week so I'm not sure how much reading I'll actually accomplish.

It was a busy weekend and this weekend will be too. Last week though was one of the quietest weeks I've had in months. This week though is back to being busy.

I used to love Nancy Drew books when I was a kid. I also liked A Perfect Day. Look like you had a great weekend with your kids!

Pussreboots

I didn't read Nancy Drew as a child. A Perfect Day is a cute book.

Great reading week, despite the move.

Of all the moves we've been through (this is our seventh), it's so far been the least stressful.

I hope you get a lot of moving done today...and then you can enjoy those books! Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

We got the remaining furniture out of the apartment. Now it's just some boxes and cleaning. We have three weeks left.

The cover of "The Flying Troutman" is so eye-catching! I'll have to look it up. I love that Lane Smith book -- his illustrations are always so beautiful!

That is a lot of reading with a lot of chores as well. I hope this week will be smoother.

There's a lot of waiting involved with these moving in chores. That's when I read.

The move is going fine. We should be basically out by the end of Sunday. I'm enjoying Dorothy Must Die but it's going to take me a long time to finish it.

The event was fun but hectic. We should be out of the apartment completely by the end of Sunday.

Hope things go better with moving all the stuff out of the apartment. Sometimes moves don't go as smoothly as you want them to. You have another batch of good looking books coming up, enjoy them!

We're almost done. The biggest, most breakable, and most important things have all been moved. We have maybe a dozen boxes left.
