It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (September 24): 09/24/18

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
Hosted by Kathryn of Book Date.

We survived the week but I've come down with a cold. I got a lot of reading done, primarily in the form of short things saved on my phone. I also managed to finish the hummingbird painting. I'm thinking of working on an owl next.

In other news, I have been invited back to be a first round reader for middle grade fiction for the CYBILs.

I loved Still Missing, and everything else by Chevy Stevens. See what I read this month at Girl Who Reads

Good luck with the CYBILS — you have some good reading ahead of you.

The painting is amazing, great work! Ugh, sorry about the cold - I caught something and it took a good two weeks to get over.

Looks like you had a great reading week with lots of good stuff to come, enjoy!

My list!

Thanks, re the painting. It seems that everyone in my circle of friends is sick — even ones out of state. Ugh.

I'm sorry you're sick. I hope you get well soon. I really like your hummingbird painting. I have a friend who paints birds, oysters, and hens on Bible pages and newspaper ones as well.

Oysters, that's an interesting subject. I don't think I've ever painted an oyster. I do have a hen photo that I'm planning to turn into a painting soon. Right now, though, I'm working on a burrowing owl.
