Previous month's book sources

September was the six full month of shelter in place for COVID-19 precautions. Time at home was still caring for puppy, painting, playing video games, chores, reading, and now reading through the news. It was also our first full month as a family of three as our oldest is living on her own now. Strange times!

ROOB Score for the last three years

In September I read 15 TBR books, down from August's 16 TBR. I also read 3 published in September. Thirteen books were for research, up from the last two months' 8. None were from the library. The three new books and the large number of research books raised my ROOB score from -4.33 to -3.10. Though higher, it is my second best September score.

ROOB score mapped year after year to compare trends

The ROOB trendline continues downwards. I am continuing to focus on reading through my 2018 and 2019 purchases, as well as books received through Paperback Swap. Hopefully that will mean another low month.

ROOB monthly averages

My average for September improved slightly from -2.48 to -2.53.
