Thirty-eight years of tracking my reading: 06/08/24
It's that time again, when I reflect on my long determination to track my reading. Since 1987 I've been tracking my reading. My tracking years run from June 9th to June 8th of the next year. Today ends my Thirty-eighth year of tracking. To read more about the reasons, see 2019's post. Since getting my spreadsheet up to date, I haven't been hand writing what I've read in my book diary. It's just easier and more accurate to do it digitally. I am, however keeping track of what page I would be on if I were handwriting. I am on page, 529, or page 40 of my current volume. That's ten pages of reading since last year. For my next prediction: when will I reach 15,000? As I'm averaging about 300 books per year, my best guess is sometime in August 2040.
My first book for year 38 was The Stranger in the Library by Eva Gates and Elise Arsenault (Narrator) (2024). My last book was Nonsense! The Curious Story of Edward Gorey Lori Mortensen and Chloe Bristol (Illustrator) (2020) which I will review later this month or in early July. Comments (0) |
